Do you own his IPOD?
Why do you care?
What I do from the post is
1. It is his device
2. He want to know
3. He is inquisitive and wants to learn
4. He knows the risk

I'll answer him with information to help in his education

Most likely someone said those same things to every inventor type before they suceeded creating something no-one ever had before.

Oh yea I always answer that "Why don't you just leave it as it is?" question with because I can

but he already knows how to do it

he doesnt want to learn and it is not that difficult to mod it, i know ppl who have done it b4

and i already have answered y his wouldnt work. it only works with earlier ipods. i think like first generation ones.

i just wanted him to know that i dont condone and it shouldnt even be allowed in this forum

i care because i am a high school student but i am not as foolish as him and would risk a $200 product unless it was bought with my own money and i am endowed enough to be able to replace it.
