iPod in WMP11

Hello everyone, nice to see a new section of this forum devoted to this stuff. Is there a way to do iPods in WMP11? I looked around on the net and some people said it works but they just said it showed up by default as a device or something or in the bar on the left hand side. But it doesn't show up as a device or in the left hand side, it doesn't do anything. I'm running XP Home and really want to use WMP11 for all my music including managing an iPod. Is there a way or do I need to be running Media Monkey or something (iTunes isn't even an option, I hate it).
