Question

iPod FM radio to bluetooth...

Jul 28, 2016 10:43PM PDT

Good day everyone,

Ok, I know you can't stream FM radio through bluetooth on the iPod. But here's my complicated question:

I ride a motorcycle and I have a bluetooth system in my helmet. I can stream music from the iPod stored music, but I'd like a way to listen to FM radio on my bluetooth kit. Is there a way to do that with the iPod, like a bluetooth transmitter, or an FM receiver that would transmit via bluetooth?

Thanks to all that come up with a viable answer!

would do the job.
I see that there is a statement "will not work with your phones" but does that mean that the phone cannot receive the BT signal.
There are plenty of these type devices around so Google is your friend here. This site offers a list of what they believe are the best ones, https://wiki.ezvid.com/best-bluetooth-transmitters

Hope this helps

Oh, I spent a whole night trying to search on Google... LoL

But, do you think that the iPod would still receive FM signal with this plugged in? 'Cause you have to have the earbuds plugged in for it to receive the signal.

I'm about to go with a mini FM radio that plugs into a bluetooth tx. One similar to what you posted.

Thank you for your answer.

I think that's the thing to try.

I recall the iPod to only work it's FM when the headphones were plugged in because the headphones were the antenna needed for the radio.

So the Bluetooth TX device would be the antenna and if not you could buy some audio extension cable.

It's not a for sure solution. Frankly I think this to be too fidgety for use while mobile. I have seen bikes with radios and said radios do bluetooth.
