Ipod Errors

I have recently purchased a ipod classic 80g. It was working find a couple weeks ago and syncing it was no problem. But lately I been getting ipod errors (-53,140 and so on, I can't even put 100 songs without a error popping up, after that my ipod freezes. I have no idea what to do and need some help. I would appreciate any response. Thanks

The Apple store and get it fixed or replaced. Your post makes no mention of the Apple computer you use or such so I take it that you don't think the error is there?
