iPod crashed

hey i tried to get linux on my ipod g5 video and succeded, but since i used the screen where you can select wich one you want to use, it has started to crash no matter which one i choose, my computer won't recognise it, it will in disk mode but it will stop any program i try to fix the ipod with. so please help

The iPod Updater program

Does it try to stop the iPod Updater program that should have come with your iPod? If not, you can use that to restore your iPod to factory settings. This seems to erase its hard drive.
