Sep 18, 2005 1:20AM PDT

Does anyone know how much Apple charges to replace the battery on any of the iPod models?

You can find others that do that for about 1/2 the price or if you do it yourself.

It's a non-issue to me since I've encountered it one time in my travels. The owner was moaning about it and a trip to the web (google.com) found it for 1/2 the price.

Did you look into this?

the guy above didnt give a 100% direct answer, so allow me.

its $100 plus S&H if its not under warranty. if its under warranty, its free.

like he said, there are many 3rd party sites where you can either do it yourself or send it to them for half the price.

I only ask b/c I get a lot of people asking this specific question where I work. About 95% of them don't have the time or patience to do it for themselves, or are just too scared to mess with the ipod in any way.
