If you were smart enough to move your iTunes onto an external drive, AND your new machines iTunes looks exactly like the one on the old PC, right down to the playlists, then you will not have a problem.
Just plug the iPod in, you will be informed that the iPod was previously connected to another PC and do you want to continue.
As long as you have the new iTunes set exactly like the old one, all should be well when you come to sync.
Personally I prefer the manual sync, rather than the automatic, so there is never a chance of accidentally over writing the iPod.
I believe the sync will move your apps into the new machines iTunes apps folder.
If you want to wait for a second opinion, I won't be offended. ![]()

I just got a new pc. I was wondering how I should set up my ipod or computer to have my new computer take my ipod. All my songs are on an external drive. I believe if I just plug my ipod into my new computer it would erase everything, since it was synced to the previous computer? My only concern is that I have to download all my apps again. Also have a lot of notes on the Notes program I dont want gone. Any help would be aprreciated, thanks.
