My iPod says it's disabled connect to iTunes but I try it's not connecting someone plz help

It has to be done in the right order.

Quit iTunes
Connect the iPod to the computer
Turn on the iPod
Launch iTunes

It should see it now

Just had this issue on another Apple iProduct.

Turns out in my case the USB cable was BUM. Luckily for me I had another cable and I was able to "get it done."
