iPhone X Facial Recognition

Sep 16, 2017 12:19AM PDT

I have searched on-line and in Apple's website and cannot get the answer to my question. I'm wondering if facial recognition is the only way to open up the iPhoneX? I see it as a being greatly advertised, but I hope it's not the only way to open the phone in order to use it.

I guess there must be,

when it comes straight out of the box, it has no idea who you are.
You have to be able to turn it on and set everything up, including the PIN code, and also have to train it to recognize your face.

There is a way to turn FR off, quickly, as it is possible to "fool" FR if "they" have the time and patience. (and they do!). Turning FR off quickly also locks the iPhone.

Keep Googling, the whole answer is out there somewhere
