iPhone skin for my Touch

by potterfan82 / August 7, 2008 2:48 AM PDT

Has anyone downloaded an iPhone skin for their smartphone from a credible place? Did it work ok for your phone?

I like the iPhone's idea, but I want something that still syncs up well with my Microsoft apps on my computer.

Thanks,
Harold

This is a great site

Hey Potterfan,

I have a Tilt and used this site:
http://WWW.iphonethemeforpocketpc.com

I've had pretty good luck with it. Unlike the freeware, they actually provide support and have a downloads page that you get access to that gives you even more add-ons then most places. I've been using them for awhile and download new add-ons as they come out for free. Plus it's really nice if you like to customize buttons and tweak your phone.

Hey Gavobs, I went to the site you provided, sure thing it looks prety on computer, the fear is that; will it work with my tilt, but mostly, after I instal the skin, will I be able to interchange with my original tilt theam, or I will have to uninstal the iphone theam first?

ATT Tilt iPhone theme
by gavobs / August 17, 2008 11:07 PM PDT

Hey Timebeat,

I don't have a tilt, but it seems after looking on their requirements page that it's compatible. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to load your original theme, I usually don't use my original one, but when I click on "exit", it takes me out of the theme software and it looks like my original screen, so it should work for you too.

Good luck with it.

A friend gave me a new v3xxx AT&T phone as a gift, I use T-moble, I ried to switch my T-Mobile sim-card, the phone was asking kind-of a pass or pin which ofcause I did not have. I asked AT&T if they can release the v3xxx for use with other providers since the phone was paid for in full. a customer sercer clerk refered mew to the internet, in other words, they cannot do that.
Is there someone out there who understands what I am trying to explain here that can tell me how to go about it. I am not ready to switch my provider.

Re-read his msg. He's inquiring about unlocking a Moto, not a Tilt/HTC.

FWIW, some folks have had ATT unlock their non-ATT handsets

YMMV. See Howardforums.com for more details.

correction

What I meant to write (LOL), was that ATT apparently has in some cases unlocked handsets for persons who were not current customers and the phones were not sold directly to those same individuals. Again, YMMV. You could also have a friend currently with ATT do this for you. All they would have to do is add the IMEI of your (ATT) handset to their account. After that, they could ask for the unlock code for overseas use with a foreign/pre-paid SIM. Good luck.

Guys, it is unfortunate that I cannot watch Youtube clips on my tilt especially with Democratic Convention running. I am having a hard time downloading Mobile Real Player to my PC. Is there a way I can directly download the player to my phone?

Also try XDA
by Pepe7 / August 13, 2008 12:15 AM PDT

Most of what you see in the paid version is available for free, with a little work on your part perusing the XDA forums. IMO they're selling something which is not really unique and a little overpriced.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
