Question

Iphone screen went blank. Does not respond?

Jun 7, 2012 1:02AM PDT

Phone was fully charged last night and working fine. I went to use it again and the phone does not respond. What is going on with it and how do I solve this problem?

Back up your data, then...

...do a factory restore. If that doesn't work, stop by the genius bar. IME Apple does have a lenient replacement policy, as well as great OOWS (out of warranty service) replacements for relatively nominal fees vs the cost of a new device outright. I believe it's still $149 ballpark.

in regards to Genius Bar at the Apple store, if you do decide to go, make sure to make an appointment over the phone or online to ensure you get a time slot for them to check out your phone. At our local Apple store, they're so busy that walk in service to the Genius Bar is impossible, unless you have an appointment.

Cheers!

Try This

Try and do a HARD reset by holding the Home and Sleep buttons down together. Keep both buttons pressed until you see the Apple logo and then let go.

Restart your cell once

Hey there,
Don't panic and restart your cell once, it will probably work. If it does not then simple connect your cell phone to computer and try to recover all your important documents and go through a complete factory reset.
