the phone needs to be opened up for moisture to escape. Not sure what iphone you have so here's some reading ->

Digger
I have tried everything suggested plus other thing after getting my iphone wet while camping weeks ago. Phone still works perfectly, but I keep it in airplane mode most of time, and use it sparingly.
Verizon store told me shadows and spots of light inside screen are water inside. I have recharged battery once. Tried rice for 2 weeks, sometimes in windowsill in sun; no change, put on top of tuner that heats slightly overnight, latest is to put phone in large box sitting on top of small box with hairdryer on low blowing towards phone (makes warm air swirl around phone). Can only leave on for 8 to 10 min at a time; no change in shadows and spots of light. What do you think I should do?
