For example, the Apple one does not cover water damage. Does Verizon?
Any opinions on whether I go with AppleCare or Verizon insurance? Leaning towards version because I have small kids...
Any info helpful!
Thanks!

I am new to the forum so only just read this thread. In my opinion I think it's really important to read the policy terms and conditions carefully to establish exactly what is covered within the iPhone insurance policy. Most iPhone policies cover accidental damage but with regards to loss or theft you would need to check with the providers. I cannot comment specifically on Apple Care or Verizon insurance but I do know of other iPhone insurance providers. For example Gocare.com provides iPhone insurance and offers a family plan, might be worth a look. Also a few specialist gadget insurance comparison sites have recently sprung up. I did a google search recently and found Insurance4mobiles they compare iPhone insurance quotes from multiple insurers. May prove a useful resource.

Since you can obtain a $149-199 out of warranty replacement (OOWS) from Apple directly anyway, you might not want to deal with the decuctible nonsense from Verizon. How do those numbers compare with Apple care?
