iPhone didn't make editor's choice?

I know, I know. The iPhone release was like a flood gate opening in these forums; and I'm sorry to add to the sea. But does anybody think iPhone may deserve the editor's choice? I mean, it's the coolest phone I've used thus far: but I'll admit it's missing some key features.

Editors Choice

In reply to: iPhone didn't make editor's choice?

The iPhone shows us a lot of potential for how things could be. For it to make an editors choice it would need to live up to the potential it has shown.

It's possible that someone else can see that potential and take the concept to the next generation. Sony, Palm, Nokia are potential candidates who all have great phones. All could do it if they chose. So could Apple with a Gen II iPhone.

You know all the drawbacks but here are a few (no 3G, lousy web browsing experince, and no web downloads). Of all the web browser phones, the iphone probably recognizes the least websites in a useful manner.
The best screen, smooth wi-fi connection, and itunes make is a phone worth having but editors choice, it is a borderline for me.
