How about other WiFi spots?

In reply to: I am right next to my wifi

Once in a while I encounter where a router gets picky about devices.

That and when the WiFi channel is off at 2.4GHz #14. What channel is your router on?
Is the router firmware current?

Routers do age and can start showing issues like this and this is why we have to test at another hot spot. That test tells us what to try next.

----> Even on my 5s I found I had to FORGET my network after an iOS network. I don't know if you know to do that.

Update my question

In reply to: How about other WiFi spots?

When my Iphone is idle for set of time the screen go black and the wifi disconnects, and when I activate my Iphone and enter my password the screen comes on but the Wifi doesn't automatically connect.

I tried to have WPA2 protection but every time I connect my phone, the wifi stuck on connecting to my phone. However, If I use WEP protection then there is no problems.

And yes my router is on.

I have to also update my question.

In reply to: Update my question

1. What channel is the router on? (we know the router power is on at this step.)

2.What version iOS is the phone at?

3. What make, model Router?

4. What firmware version is in the router?
