It is said that the upcoming 5S will have 8 cloors.: pink, yellow, blue, green, purple, silver and slate shades currently found on the iPod nano, and a (Product)Red model with proceeds benefiting AIDS research. This is really a good news.

Ok so ,,whats the reason that they will have 8 collors,, they ran out of intelegent ideas,, or what..
i rather see they make the phone lighter or cheaper,, or somthing like that
Nokia Lumia's come in different colors also. It's not expensive to make and people might find it a reason to buy your phone, so probably both Apple and Nokia find it a good marketing idea. That's all they want: selling phones.

Apple makes iPods in multiple colors, why shouldn't they do so with an iPhone? This is no big deal.
OMG. Is this true, oh i can't wait to see it. OMG. just wonder if they try to imitate Nokia's Lumia color.
Apple has always prided itself in premium designs rather than a race of specifications with its iPhones. From an antenna built into shell, to the aluminum casing, to the 4 inch screen optimized for 1-hand use, the iPhone is in a lot of ways better designed than say, the galaxy s3/s4 which is just put together with a few pieces of plastic. (of course their specs are more superb). Having said that, the current white and black compliments the iPhone's premium feel very well, and if anything, adding these colors IMO turn the iPhone into a "teenage toy" like the iPod nanos.

When there are thousands of cases available to make the phone look like whatever you want it to, what difference does it make what color the phone is ?
If you want your phone to be all of these crazy colors then get a case. IMO these color options make the iPhone 5 seem childish and honestly unprofessional
