Iphone 3G switch

I live in Seattle and currently have Verizon phone service. I am thinking about switching to AT&T for the Iphone 3G but would like to hear other peoples opinions first. Does anyone know how AT&T service in Seattle compares to Verizon?

I want the phone because I use the internet quite a bit, and contact people mostly via email or messaging progams. Do you think this warrants a switch to the iphone? Or will something similar/better come out for verizon? Thanks.

I can only speak generally

I have ATT in Pennsylvania. We have only lost our coverage 2 days. The one day someone accidentally cut a fiber-optic line. The second time, they were switching to the 3G network.

I like ATT because they allow you to put songs and ringtones on your phones. Verizon blocks the phones from doing so.

Here is a coverage map, it's more general. You'll have to do a little research from the map on your own.

I myself, have a Razr v3xx and that phone is good enough for me.

Does anyone know how AT&T service is in Seattle? And how it compares to Verizon in the area? Thanks

Maps

Look at the maps on the carriers sites. You may have to do a little digging. Another poster posted the link to the AT&T map. Go to verizon's site and look for their map. Isn't that hard.

The Phone Itself

In reply to: Iphone 3G switch

Personally, I would look for something else. Many smartphones now play music, so that isn't really a huge thing for me. And maybe the 3G is different, but the standard iPhone doesn't do much besides web browsing extremely well. And even that has room for improvement.

I'd look into the blackberry pearl if you don't mind lacking a touch screen, and if you do want the touch screen, I'd look into another phone. I'm not fan of Apple and their products.
