iphone 11 pro max sharp edges

Hi , I got the iphone 11 pro max the day it came out and the screen was scratched right out of the box. i exchanged it for a new one at the local apple store, but this one the metal band around the glass screen is razor sharp.. it even cut my finger. it doesn’t feel flush with the glass.

my iphone XS max is totally flush and doesn’t have this problem. no sharp edge.

has anyone else noticed this on their phone? i’m going to have to return it. i wouldn’t care if the case covered it all but the bottom of the phone the case doesn’t cover it and whenever i hold it or swipe up it is very sharp ?

i’ve never had a problem with an iphone before so i’m pretty shocked that two would be defective right out of the box.

Sounds like .......

the second phone was the Swiss Army model. Take it back again to Apple, I am certain they will take care of you.

Dangerously sharp edges!

My brand new iPhone 11 Pro Max has the same issue! Nearly cut myself and only had it a day. Called apple support and they asked me to take it back to the store so they could inspect it. Can't be anything other than a manufacturing error. It's the metal gasket around the screen where it meets the frame. If it's not an error then the design is totally flawed. Only alternative would be to always use a case to protect your hands and fingers. Unacceptable for a $1200 phone!

Surprising and disturbing...... hear that a second member having the same issue. Let's call it Apple's 'sharpgate'......

Sharp edges

I got a iPhone 11 Pro, midnight green, no sharp edges , I sold it as I wanted the max version. Got the max 256gb (UK) in gold and mostly at bottom edge I can feel the steel edge is slightly raised and when you swipe down , when you swipe up , feels smooth though.
I had a look at a note 10 plus and it feels a bit sharp, but Samsung kind of rounded the edge and it doesnt feels as sharp.
For the money we paId, we should get a 100% mint iPhone

What do yo mean?

When you say 100% mint iPhone? It isn't 10% another brand.

I said 100% mint condition as in totally perfect out of the box. It is obviously a quality control issue

Don't forget

.......that even new out of the box can still suffer from manufacturer defects. Stuff happens.
