Resolved Question

IPCONFIG does not run

Aug 13, 2011 2:26AM PDT

hello folks. i have an acer t135 desktop(about 6yrs old) running windows xp sp3. my question is when i try to run 'ipconfig', the dos screen pops up for about half a second and then disappears-as in it's not 'minimizing' or going to the bottom 'toolbar' field, it just disappears. i use time warner high speed internet-i do not and never have used a wireless connection. i use the free version of 'avg' antivirus and am fairly certain i don't have a virus as i keep it updated and run a full scan 3or4 times a week. i do not have the 'guest' user feature enabled and have myself set up as the 'administrator'. way back when i first got the computer i remember i could run 'ipconfig' and view the information. today was the first time since then that i tried running 'ipconfig' and now for some reason it's not allowing me to view the info. any thoughts on how to fix this?
