Resolved Question

Ipad screen glare

Aug 30, 2011 7:27AM PDT

I am buying an Ipad for college, and have been told that these are somewhat frustrating under any kind of direct lighting. I am a horticulture design student, which means bright greenhouse as well as classroom lighting Has anyone noticed any difference between the black bezel and the white bezel?

As both have the same screen the glare is exactly the same. Some people find the white more distracting when watching movies but this isnt true in my experience. I went for the black one just becuase I preferred it.
You wont have any trouble in brightly lit rooms but you might struggle in the green house as when I've used mine in direct sun light I've had points where I couldnt see the screen at all. As other replies have said you'll be able to tilt most glare away.

I found I can tilt the screen to avoid that. Did you try that?

I haven't purchased one yet. I'm just wondering if there is a difference in the perceived glare.
