Only an iPad is made by Apple and any similar, non-Apple device is referred to as a "tablet". Not the same device. Any thing bigger than 10 to 11 inch display is a netbook, laptop/notebook or ultrabook computer.

Apple, Amazon Kindle and B&N Nook all offer a free ebook reader applications for laptops, desktop computers and smart phones. The applications don't offer all the same features as with their respective products but is still very useful. For example, I have ebook readers installed on my Ipad, my Motorola Droid Razr, my Macbook Air, my desktop computer and my Windows laptop.
Now I'm almost confused ... what surface size is you Ipad, your Motorola Droid Razr, your Macbook Air, your desktop computer and your windows laptop? .
I envisage 14" as comfortable still to take a book to bed if need be ... can you recommend something for me please given the requirements of large surface of 14" and quality print.
Thanks
The iPad (all models) are about 10 inches, my Droid Razr is 4.3 inches, my Macbook Air is 13 inches, my Windows laptop is 15.6 inches, and my desktop display is 23 inches . On all devices, I can change the size of the text from smaller to larger very easily. I find an iPad display is large enough to read comfortably without having to get my laptop.
