I have to head to the Apple store to see if they can reset it and put it to a factory condition.
I think you've used the most common DIY methods and the next stop is Apple.
One of my iPads has just about every problem imaginable after 9.3.5 update. It's a first gen iPad mini and I had been using the old iOS in order to avoid this issue. It's my sons iPad me apparently somehow it was updated. Needless to say, it now won't charge, isn't detected by iTunes or pc, wifi is grayed out etc...I finally was able to get it to sync to iTunes after hours of trying everything imaginable. I "thought" I was headed for victory. Howeber, it quit halfway through update and is now stuck in recovery mode. I just want to wipe it clean and restore to factory. I don't care about data or anything else. Now, the iPad is stuck in recovery mode and is not detected by iTunes/pc. I can't enter DFU mode or anything like that. I have reinstalled all drivers, iTunes, etc.... All of my other drvices sync right to iTunes the second I plug them in. This iPad is simply not communicating with anything. It has full charge and everything but will not do anything. Is there anyway to force a restore? I have tried several 3rd party programs that claim to take out of recovery. The problem is that it does me no good because there is no connection between iPad and pc. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm open to just about everything aside from beating it with a hammer or tossing it in a fire. PLEASE HELP!!!!
