IP fetch

Oct 15, 2007 6:57AM PDT

I am running dsl through at&t with a dynamic public ip address. I like to remote into my pc when I am out and about. I was thinking about writing a script that would go out and fetch my public ip address and email it to my yahoo mail account. This way when I needed to remote in I could just check my email for the address. I was thinking of maybe using one of the many websites that will tell you your IP address. I don't really know where to start. Any ideas???

I have been using:
http://www.dyndns.com
it uses a small utility installed in your pc to update your name-ip record.
