I have two laptops...work and personal.
At home, my work computer is able to access the internet through comcast dsl with no issues.
My personal computer will say that I am connected but will not let me access the internet--says I have no IP address. I have power cycled numerous times. I have the settings set "To obtain IP address automatically" and "To obtain DNS servers automatically". But it still gives me an IP address of 0.0.0.0. I've called Comcast and they can see that I am connected on their end. When I've tried using the repair feature, I get a message that says it could not renew my dchp(?) lease or something to that effect (don't have it in front of me). I'm using a Dell laptop with Windows XP if that helps.
I've called comcast 3 times but they are useless. Anyone out there who can help???
