I have Windows XP on my computer. Can anyone tell me how to change my IP address? Thank you.

"Can anyone tell me how to change my IP address?"

Not yet. If you mean your internet IP address, these are assigned by your ISP or DSL/Cable provider. You have to call them to ask for a new IP if it doesn't change in a few days.

For your LAN, that could covered at http://www.wown.com

To Bob: If my IP address changes frequently by my ISP, how does my anti-virus provider know how to send me updates two or three times a week. I never gave my anti-virus provider, PC-cillin, my e-mail address. I thought that they send me updates based on my IP address. Thank you.

IP address is not your "mail address" or how an antivirus updates.

I'll reply as simple as I can. Your antivirus program contacts "home" from time to time to see if an update is available. Your machine is doing this check.

Do you really mean 'change'?
