Hi
I am trying to connect from android phone ( Galaxy s4 ) to my Pc ( Windows 10 ) through LAN. I am using Ez Explorer app to do so. When i press LAN option in the app I get a window with an IP address and I am being requested to enter user name and password. I am entering my First name as a user name but not password because I don't use pass to enter to windows 10.
the app refuse to connect me to the Pc and don't get any notification of the problem. Any idea??
Thanks

What happens when you give the user a password in Windows 10 and enter that in the app?

Actually when I turn on my computer I don't enter any user name and pass. I get right away to desktop. I defined my first name as a user for the computer ( user account ) but I didn't defined a pass. So When i want to connect from my phone to My Pc through LAN I just enter my first name as a user as defined in account of windows but not pass.

I get back the previous windows asking again to enter username and pass without any remark. I have TPlink router which gives as I understand the IP address showing in the window of the app

So you changed your Windows account to have a password, you type the username and the password in the app and it doesn't login without giving any error message?

Then it's an issue with the app. If you can't solve it by studying the app's user manual, FAQ or help, ask the author of the app or try another one.

What's the relation with an IP-address? Does the app show the IP-address of the Windows PC?

IP address

Thank you Kees
I did what you offered and read the user manual and really tells that I have to have a pass and not leaving it blank. Yes, the app shows the IP address of the windows Pc. I don't have a choice but to enter a pass in windows settings. Thanks for your suggestions.

Keep it simple then. One letter is enough. And don't forget it!
