i have a hp computer running on windows xp and for some reason when i try to load a web site it says page cant be displade.i tryed to ping the web site in run cmd and it wont ping any web sites for some reason it cant read my ip address help me please the computer is a hp pavilion 751n

You've posted in the PC Hardware Forum. The only hardware noted is the HP 751n, but not must is written about what hardware issue you suspect to be causing your issue.

If you don't think that hardware issues are at play, then try a software/os forum?

Or tell more about the internet connection and what hardware you are trying to fix.

How are you connecting to the web?

Sounds like the DNS settings are not right, or you just aren't getting connected.

When you select START/RUN and type IPCONFIG what does it show for IP addresses?

Does ipconfig /all show DNS addresses?

So much is missing.

Did an existing working configuration suddenly fail?

What O/S?

What type of NIC is installed?

Some of the very latest virus's will disable or take over a network connection.

Provide some more information.
