Also, the iTunes version and IOS version discussion is quite the old one. Frankly it's why I don't keep much in iTunes.
After allowing Apple to update my 5s iphone last week, I had no phone throughout the weekend, (since I don't have a landline anymore). The screen was locked on a screen that said "slide to update". Apple support would not allow support because I couldn't give them my serial #, (locked in the iPhone). On Monday they finally allowed me to chat without charge and told me how to get the phone part to work, but without my contacts or ability to access my imac, (the OS on the Mac is too old (10.6.
to recognize IOS 9). So their advice was to update my mac, Which many of my apps including iPhoto, my itunes archive, and God knows what else won't work. "or I could buy a new Mac (Same problem). or perhaps upgrade my phone, (Same problems all around). this phone was thourougly backed up both on icloud and itunes but icloud will only go back to the time I allowed the update, and itunes will no longer recognize the iphone. Now does anyone have any ideas or work arounds for these problems? I realize that putting all of my eggs in the APPLE basket was a bad Idea, and am disgusted with Apple enough to leave that mark altogether, as soon as I find another solution for my music archive.
