Because that creates a DOUBLE NAT and creates a headache for those that don't know network.
And let's be clear that NAS is slow enough already. All the folk I encounter eventually move it back to an Ethernet connection.
With that out of the way when I want to use a second router I head to google.com and type in this phrase.
"Use a router as a WAP."
I want to setup my iomega Home media network hard drive on my network. I live in the apartment above a pizza shop that I manage and I just use the network that is set up there. I have access to the router, but I currently just use Wifi to connect. What I really would like to do is set up another router upstairs and connect the drive into that. How exactly would I go about this ? I am guessing I would have to bridge the two routers together ? Can anyone point me in the right direction here, my laptop drive is near full and I could really use the space.
