"I recently reinstalled..."
Right there. Such is not supported and at the heart of this matter. Installing is supported and you just treat it right as the install notes write.
All I can offer is that you try a boot to safe mode, remove the zip items and then reboot and install Iomega's drivers.
Be sure you install the latest service pack before connecting to the Internet or else things like this plus more work is required.
In closing, there are a few Zip models. You didn't tell which and if the machine has what service pack and has no pests.
Best of all, why this reinstall?
Bob
I recently reinstalled windows2000, however, the machine could not recognize my internal zip. There is not drive letter assigned.
I checked Administrative tools in Control Panel, I found out that every time I started computer, the Event Viewer recorded two errors as follows:
Event#7009 The ZipToA service failed to start due to the following error:
The service did not respond to the start or control request in a timely fashion.
Event#7000 Timeout (30000 milliseconds) waiting for the ZipToA service to connect.
The thing is when computer starts, during POST I can see the message that the zip 100 iomega is detected.
What is the problem? How should I do to make the computer to recognize the internal zip 100. (It was not driver problem. I installed the driver already. When I installed another external zip100, the machine recognize it immediately.)
Help.
