Where is it?

Where is it displayed?

Are you trying to authenticate a Windows XP installation?

Or are you trying to get Windows Updates?

Is it the registration key for WINXP?
by DarCLew2 / June 17, 2006 8:32 AM PDT

Mine came on my package, others have it listd on the side of the computer (home edition) and if a Pro, you find it in the middle of the three folded case that WINXP Pro came in. You may have misread some of the key
and it is telling you it is invalid. Some items can throw you like B or 8, o or 0 (zero), l or 1 (one). Easy to misread as you can see, put in the wrong one and INVALID!! Darrell Lewis

I note that you are new here. Firstly, Welcome to the Community.

Now, please provide more detailed information for us to work on.
? What were you trying to do - install a program, run a program, making changes....?

? When did you get the message - ? You clicked at ''Start'' and it appeared at the Desktop - just like that ?

? Is that the full message ? If not, please provide the full and complete message. Did the message appeared in a ''Window'' - if so, what is the title of the window ? Any signs, e.g. an exclaimation mark, a white cross, a red cross...?

? At your initial post, what do you mean by ''no reboot either'' ?

? Tell us something about your computer. Make and model, specifications, and what you do about viruses and parasites.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
