I was almost convinced by this review for EA9500:
http://www.cnet.com/products/linksys-ea9500-ac5400-tri-band-wi-fi-router-with-mu-mimo-router/
as many times I did, to buy a EA9500 instead of the RT-AC5300, until I accidentally found this:
Please see the review of Asus RT-AC88U: http://www.cnet.com/products/asus-rt-ac88u-router/2/
In the article you can see the result figures of "CNET LABS'S 802.11AC (5GHZ) WI-FI PERFORMANCE" for "Asus RT-AC88U" are "643.6" and "345.2", which are exactly identical to the result figures for "Asus RT-AC5300" in review for "EA9500". Although I am not an expert, I think the test results should not be exactly identical for these two obviously different products.
The above finding makes this review invalid and suspicious to me. Unless there is a reasonable explanation, I find myself very difficult to trust any CNET review.
