I was given a very nice 6 x 8 Intuos 2 tablet that had a frayed USB cord going into the tablet. The mate who had it previously said it wouldn't work on his mac anymore so he got a new one. Knowing I was handy with a tool he gave it to me to fix if I could. After fixing the cord I plugged it into my iBook with Tiger and it registered the connection but the cursor refused to move. I updated the drivers from Wacom and still no go.
I gave up and assumed the problem was not the cable but instead it was the board itself and I set it aside to discard. By some odd chance I plugged it into the front of my windows tower thinking it was a scanner I share between several computers. Moving the wacom mouse out of the way as I laid a book down I noticed the cursor move on the PC screen. Lo and behold... the wacom seems to work with the PC but not the mac. I have done several googles re intuos 2 and mac problems but not found anything.
Has anyone ever had this problem? Is the board bad or is it just a conflict with Tiger and an older model wacom tablet?
Thanks for all advice in advance.
