Obviously it has something to do with their installed software.
Help! How can I get rid of the intrusive pop-up that AT&T insists on placing that tells me that signal strength is low?
I have AT&T mobile broadband service, via a USB-connected modem to my Dell Vista computer (5 GB monthly cap).
The pop-up says: "Signal strength is low, move to a location with a better signal."
The pop-up lays over any windows I have open. It can't be moved. I have to close it, but then it reopens again in a couple of minutes.
I certainly don't need AT&T to tell me when signal strength is low -- a very aggravating pop-up.
