I too had a bundled version of WinDVD Creator 2 that had quirky problems. At InterVideo's suggestion, I downloaded and installed their trial version available from their web site. At first, it seemed to run better, however a crash while using their software caused me to loose all of my iTunes music! WinDVD will not start at all now. What crummy software. I'm going to look elsewhere for a video editor. Good luck.
I have an HP m7060n Media Center PC which comes bundled with Intervideo WinDVD Creator 2. I used WinDVD to capture, edit and burn DVDs - worked really well and was easy to use.
Now, all of a sudden, it will allow me to capture, edit and add menus, but will just not burn to DVD. When I select ''Make Movie'' and then ''Burn to Disc'', the Select Drive and Burning Speed drop-downs are inactive. I am only able to make movies and save to disc.
HP support asked me to update DVD Driver firmware and update the winDVD Creator driver - I did both and still no luck.
The DVD drive itself is fine - I checked by playing some of my previously burned DVDs - worked fine.
The Intervideo site support is bare-bones and has been no help at all. Also, no phone support to OEM software users!
