Internet/Vista problems

May 7, 2009 1:40AM PDT

Hi All,

Last night I started having issues with my computer. It started that I was connected to the internet, but couldn't browse. At the time, AIM was still functioning. I restarted my computer to see if that would help and it didn't, I couldn't even log onto AIM again. I spent the night running virus scans, and checking the connection. It's not the connection because there are three other computers that are still working perfectly. Then I got the blue screen of death twice. The message was IRQL not less or equal. I've tried almost everything I can think of to fix it. The internet does work in safe mode, but that's it.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Can you post some more info about computer specs and what you have tried already?

Thanks,

Chances are the issue is a malfunctioning application that is set to load when Windows loads. Select the Startup tab under msconfig (press Windows + R and enter msconfig into the Run box) and disable any/all unnecessary items by unchecking the boxes. You may want to focus on any firewall(s) you have installed, as they have the greatest likelihood of interfering with your internet connection when they malfunction.

Let us know.
