Question

Internet Usage of all wifi connected users individual stats

Mar 8, 2015 7:51PM PDT

Hi,
I want to ask you about the tool that I can use to monitor the internet usage on my network connection.
In my office I had an internet connection and all the employees are connected with a simple WiFi modem.

Now I don't know who is using my office internet to download the movies and other stuff and other employees are complaining about the slow internet connection.

Please tell me how I can monitor the internet usage of each employee? All employees are connected with a simple Modem that my ISP provided me.
I have no server in my office.

Is there any tool or utility that I can use to check the real time internet usage over my modem for all the employees that are connected with my modem.

All the computers are running Windows 8.1 including mine.
No servers, no routers, no hub etc. Just a simple WiFi Modem.

Thanks,

To start with look in the simple manual of the simple WiFi modem how to get into the modem management page and what it shows you.

If that doesn't suffice, ask your ISP if they happen to have other modems that offer more options.

If no luck, research "WiFi sniffer" to intercept and analyse all wireless traffic or "packet sniffer" if there are wired connections also. It might be better to find a company that can do it for you..

Hello, vampire745.

I recommend looking at Cisco Meraki for an easy to use dashboard for minitoring traffic users. https://meraki.cisco.com/technologies/next-gen-firewall

Are you also looking to have security appliance? You can also check the Meraki Firewalls All in One Security. It has application visibility at control.

Tell me if you need further assistance.

Thanks!
