Try your laptop in other hot spots. Does it work there?
What channel is the router on? (use your router manual as I can't tell you which menu to check. Or use an app on the phone to check. I use an Android app called WiFi Analyzer.)
Is the router firmware current? (If not, fix that!)
In parting, the issue is not new, just annoying to find what it is this time.
Hello. This is an odd one...
About a month ago, my laptop would only find wi-fi networks and connect to my wi-fi if it was in the same room as my router. I tried everything to fix it (google was exhausted) and still it wasn't working whenever I left the room HOWEVER plot twist it was working on my phone and my parents' phones and every other internet-using device in our house. Just not my laptop.
Today there's been a development....
I recently rediscovered my Chromecast and decided to watch some Netflix on my TV and it was great and I opened my laptop up to do some Uni work while I watched something....and my laptop was connected to the internet...IN MY BEDROOM. Something it's been unable to do for a month!
I thought it was a coincidence and it'd fixed itself. But later on when my Chromecast and TV was off, low and behold, I couldn't get wi-fi on my laptop in any other room but my living room again.
Out of curiosity I turned my Chromecast back on and HEY PRESTO my laptop discovered wi-fi again and I was back!
I'm absolutely stumped. I don't understand what's going on!! If anybody has even the slightest clue please divulge it I'm going crazy!!!!
