It may have worked initially but that doesn't mean that the correct, updated drivers won't help.. The biggest problem I'm seeing with our local connections deal with ethernet, modem, or router firmware/drivers.

Im running Windows Vista Business, connected via ethernet to a Shuttle XPC. When I installed Windows, it automatically picked up the ethernet port, and I didnt have to manually install any drivers.
When I boot the machine, the Internet is down for about 30~45 seconds, then it connects. The problem with this is that I cant get online right away, and AVG complains that it could not update its definitions.
I believe that this is a Vista problem because it connects fine on XP and Linux.
