you don't have a modem? Cable requires a cable modem. Have you contacted your provider?
Hi, I have a problem since 2 days ago. My internet stops every 5 to 10 minutes. It's barely noticeable because it goes out for 10 seconds or so, but when I'm playing online games I get disconnected all the time and it's gotten really annoying. I have Windows 7 on my PC and I don't really remember installing new things on it. Last thing I have installed is a new version of Google Earth and a new version of Mozilla Firefox.
I don't use a modem, I use cable broadband. I don't have any routers or etc.
Yesterday I restarted my PC, trying to fix my problem, and I was out of internet for at least half an hour before it fixed itself. It said I didn't have a valid IP or something like that.
So my question is should I contact my provider or is the problem on my side?
