I'm inclined to say "Since the (old) Belkin router is OK and the Netgear router isn't, the problem is with the Netgear." Strange that the same situation gives rise to such totally opposite opinions.

This is a really strange one. A few days ago, certain websites (e.g. ESPN, google) started getting really slow on my home network, whether I use wireless, or a hardwired connection and regardless of whether I'm on my PC, tablet, or phone. Others (e.g. yahoo) load just fine. When I bypass my router (Netgear 3400v3) and plug directly into the modem, or if I use my old Belkin router, all of the webpages load without a problem. When I go to speedtest.net, however, it says I'm getting ~18Mbps whether I go directly to the modem, use the Belkin router, or use the Netgear router. I spoke to Netgear support and they say since the speed test checks out ok, the problem is not with their router. I reset the router to the factory defaults, and the support guy had me try changing some advanced settings, but nothing helps. Everything was fine until 3 days ago. Does anyone have any ideas?
