internet not working

I have update my computer to 8.1 and now my computer internet does not work.

you will need to try update your internet browser and check the Ethernet cable as well.

Whenever Updating To A New Operating System...

..it's important to update the various drivers as well. The OS install doesn't do it for you. For the internet issue, it appears like you need to update the ethernet driver and the wireless adapter driver, if it has both. (Unfortunately, you've told us NOTHING about your computer such as make and model, or the type of internet connection your using.) Visit the computer manufacturer, or the network adapter manufacturer's website and download and install the appropriate Windows 8.1 driver for your computer.

For other drivers you might be missing, open the Control Panel, then the "Device Manager" section and look for any drivers that might be missing or outdated.
