Question

Internet not working because of proxy.

Apr 9, 2016 8:41AM PDT

I recently tried opening my chrome browser and it worked fine. But some web pages weren't working. I figured there was some virus or something, so I checked the task manager and saw that there were two processes I had never seen before, network and birkenau. I tried stopping network but it kept turning back on. I then stopped birkenau, and then I could stop network. The problem is, after this I could no longer access the internet. It says I'm connected, but when I try to go on a website on chrome, it said "There is no Internet connection; There is something wrong with the proxy server". I then tried restarting my system, and I could go to websites again, but certain ones would not work. I saw the processes were there again, so I stopped them, and found the folder where they were coming from and deleted it. I again got the same error from chrome, so I restarted again. This time, the processes weren't there, but I still get the same error from chrome.

Clarification Request
Since a proxy depends on the other proxy host

I can't fix that here. You wrote birkenau which was a concentration and death-camp complex at Auschwitz. Strange name for a proxy or app.

While I might suggest reset of the browser and IP stacks I worry that your machine is really infected after all.

Hello. Maybe you set not all of the shell in advanced options of your web-browser? You can also try another proxy service, like this - http://advanced.name for example.
