If the problem doesn't happen with other computers, then you know the issue is specific to the one machine.

So, if you've narrowed it down to one machine, then there are a couple of things you can try. I'd try them in the order below:

1. Visit the network adapter manufacturer's website and download, then install the latest driver for your ethernet adapter.

2. If that doesn't get it done, then click on the link below and follow the instructions from the poster named "BuckNC" to run elevated commands to fix the adapter settings.

3. If that doesn't fix things, then it's time to purchase and inexpensive USB ethernet adapter dongle, install it, then disable your faulty ethernet adapter and use the new one.
