Internet file sharing

by msoucy / October 29, 2005 12:15 PM PDT

I have a friend of mine who has a file (newsletter that he wrote) that he wants to send to me. He's told me that he's having trouble e-mailing it to me. Is there any free Internet file sharing services where he could go to and upload the file to, and then I could go to the same site, and later download it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

why it can't be emailed. What format is it in? Is it a huge file, too large for the email server.

Can you tell us what errors he is getting or why it can't be emailed?

Accordng to him the error says: 556 null byte error. Whatever that means. I'm not sure how big the file is. I'll e-mail him back and ask him. As far as the format I think it's supposed to be a PDF file but, I'll check on that too? Any ideas?

as you asked for.

As Wayne indicated with his link to Google the error message can have different significance depending on email client or even hardware.

The problem is at your friend's end, but the above link should allow you to receive the file until he gets his problem taken care of. Do point him to Wayne's Google link.

a home page at his ISP, that's a perfect place to put files for others to download them, generally.
