Internet Explorer won't load some pages

I recently purchased a new Dell PC. I have had problems with software that I've installed conflicting with what came bundled with the computer. I tried to install Norton while McAfee was already on there not knowing this would cause problems. It did of course, and now I fear I screwed it up by messing around too much in the registry. I went in and deleted McAfee and Norton folders. I don't know if it's related, but now certain pages won't load in IE. It instantly says This page cannot be displayed. Others will load fine. I just want my new computer to work! Please help!!!

Also, I tried to do a system restore to back before I did all that, and it wouldn't work. Also, the registry back up I made prior to my tampering doesn't work either.
