i have win xp and IE 6.0. when i have a browser open, i right click a link and click open in a new window. the window outline pops up and stops. if i click stop and refresh it opens fine. i can follow links with no problem in the same window. why is this?

1. No example URL supplied so we can't see if it's some web site with an oddity.

2. You could have a firewall, pop-up stopper of cookie control installed and it has such side-effects. The forum can only guess.

The "(it worked fine before)" is where SYSTEM RESTORE helps.
