#1 The other option was to start a new Profile, which I have done. My other profile that I also had at the time I remove the folders was not effected. The Problem that I am having right now is that when I am using the browser I get a box now that saying that the Page can not be shown.
IMO, if one profile works, then each profile set correctly should also work. The best I can offer:
1. The article [Q177512] describes some general guidelines to use when you want to select a compatible printer driver, and describes the guidelines for using 1) Ink-Jet, 2) Dot-Matrix, 3) Laser, and 4) Other printers.
2. The System Information (Msinfo32.exe) Tool [Q308549] collects system information on a system such as devices that are installed or device drivers that are loaded and provides a menu for displaying the associated system topics that can be used to diagnose issues. Use System Information to determine what adapters are installed and to view the status of its drivers.

b. "Resources for Troubleshooting Printing Problems in Windows XP (Q30802

c. "Add Printer Wizard Does Not Complete the Installation of Your Printer (Q823447)."
d. "Welcome to the Printing Solution Center."
3. User-Mode Printer Drivers (UMPD) can be used for modification of data to be printed and when used is listed as an entry in the following registry address that contains the name of the DLL printer driver:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers\<printer driver name> \PrinterDriverData
SPLUserModePrinterDriver
4. If an HP User-Mode Print Driver attempts to issue an error or the HP printer simply does not function when the correct driver(s) is/are installed and cannot, the symptom usually points to corruption in the key described above that needs deleting, then either delete or rename the following system files, and then contact your program vendor for driver refreshes:
%SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86\Hpltumpd.dll
%SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86\2\Hpltumpd.dll
%SystemRoot%\System32\Spool\Drivers\W32x86\3\Hpltumpd.dll
5. Typically, Driver Verifier is used by device driver developers to make sure that their driver passes the hardware quality test. Drive Verifier begins with a screen which allows you to select one of the following five tasks, that if changed, will take effect after the next boot.
Warning: Microsoft recommends that you use this tool with caution.
a. Create standard settings - this will select a standard set of Driver Verifier options and then allow you to choose which drivers will be verified.
b. Create custom settings - this allows you to activate any of Driver Verifier's actions and choose which drivers will be verified.
c. Delete existing settings - this will cause all of Driver Verifier's options to be deactivated and delete the list of drivers being verified.
d. Display existing settings - this will display the nonvolatile Driver Verifier settings the options selected and the drivers selected for verification.
e. Display information about the currently-verified drivers - this will display statistics related to Driver Verifier's actions.
6. The article [Q298370] states that when the computer is started, the Found New Hardware Wizard may detect a previously installed printer (even though it is not) and can occur if one of the following conditions is true, and provides troubleshooting steps:
a. The printer driver does not use Plug and Play for its installation.
b. The following registry key has become damaged:
HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\LPTENUM

#2 The worst thing now is that the box is coming up on the lower end of my screen and I can not click the NDS. This box is fix, not moveable.
Please read #1b in this fourm "link."
#3 The folder that I was removing at the time was to do with Search Toolbars that have affect my computer. I was not even in the Internet Explorer Folder.
I'm not sure what this means:
1. Two links for your reading pleasure:
a. "Browser Helper Objects: The Browser the Way You Want It?
b. "What is a Browser Helper Object?."
2. "BHODemon" that can be downloaded may assist with your situation perhaps.
3. The TechNet article "Internet Explorer Add-on Management and Crash Detection" allows users to view and control the list of add-ons; it attempts to detect crashes in Internet Explorer that are related to an add-on; users are able to view, enable, and disable the add-ons used by Internet Explorer and identify add-ons that might be related to Internet Explorer crashes to improve the overall stability of Internet Explorer.
OS: XP Pro I delete some folders and my internet explorer would not work after. I checked with my internet provider and everything was all right on their end. They suggest for me to redownload my Internet Explorer or try to remove it and choose the fix option. I have done this and no success. The other option was to start a new Profile, which I have done. My other profile that I also had at the time I remove the folders was not effected. The Problem that I am having right now is that when I am using the browser I get a box now that saying that the Page can not be shown. I can rid or it by clicking on to "Network Detect Setting". The worst thing now is that the box is coming up on the lower end of my screen and I can not click the NDS. This box is fix, not moveable. The folder that I was removing at the time was to do with Search Toolbars that have affect my computer. I was not even in the Internet Explorer Folder. Thank for any help. Susan
