I have a new HP Laptop with Windows7 installed. Until recently it's been working perfectly then suddenly Internet Explorer started malfunctioning, taking ages to open pages and then the last few days "not responding" messages popping up, and many more pop-ups. Also my music programmes Real Player, Windows Media and ITunes are seriously affected, the music programmes probably the worst. I've tried system restore and also tried running IE without "Add Ons". The latter was OK for a couple of hours then eveything went AWOL again. Can I fix this or will it need to go in for repair??

In reply to: Malware?

Hello Mark,
I use McAfee which does include Firewall. I had a low key "Trojan" earlier in the week which McAfee picked up, however this problem began before then, although it has got worse in the past few days. When that happened I had been on a Torrent sight which I thought mi ght haven been the instigator of the Trojan.

Help, my PC with Windows 10 won't shut down properly

Since upgrading to Windows 10 my computer won't shut down properly. I use the menu button shutdown and the screen goes blank, but the system does not fully shut down. The only way to get it to shut down is to hold the physical power button down till it shuts down. Any suggestions?
