Internet Explorer is messed up

My internet explorer is very messed up. I tried the repair but it said it could not be repaired because the file mstime.dll is either missing or currpted. I tried running the setup again but it didn't help. Now it also has parts of random words as links to a free password site. That's new. How do I fix it?

Sounds more like a browser hijack to me.

Repairing IE will not remove SPYWARE.

Look in the Virus and Security Forum about this issue.

Get a different browser

Have you ever considered dumping IE completely and using Netscape or Mozilla Firefox? I used to have all the same problems with IE - pop ups, browser hijacking, home page reset etc. Since I stated using Firefox about 6 months ago everything runs great. Microsoft may be the biggest but not necessarily the best. There's lots of better options. Just my .02
